Our annual car outing this year is to Parham House, which is about 45 miles away in West Sussex.  The house itself was built in the 16th century and is well worth seeing (it is in the top twenty of Simon Jenkins’ “England’s Thousand Best Houses”), but there are also beautiful gardens and an Autumn Fair which presents the best in homemade food and locally grown produce as well as activities for all ages.  With estate tours, deer walks, gun dogs and falconry displays, there is plenty to see and do.
