Morden Parish played their first limited overs game of the season, on a rainy afternoon at Overton Road and suffered a heavy defeat against local rivals Cuddington Casuals. Morden made six changes to their victorius side from the previous match with Karl, John, Alan, Neil and Matt all returning. There was also a debut for Bharat Patel.

The hosts decided to bat first on a wet pitch and the openers put on 66 before Peter Smith bowled Colombage for 40 in the 15th over. Peter struck again in his next over, trapping th eno. 3 lbw. The third wicket came in the 24th over when Karl took a good catch to give Bharat a wicket in his first match for the club and leave the score on 97-3. The last 11 overs saw 60 runs added and no further wickets, partly due to a few dropped catches. Nevertheless, all the Morden bowlers did well in the circumstances and the fielding was tight. A big plus was an excellent performance from 14 year old Neil Brooker who kept wicket for the first.

After tea, Morden decided to try a new opening partnership because Ahmed deserved a bit of rest following his efforts in the field and so Phil was joined by Karl. Karl had never opened before but had batted well in his previous game, scoring 24. This time however, Karl was out first ball, being caught at point in the 2nd over. John came in next and hit a quick 12 before being bowled in the 5th over. Ahmed hit 11 before being caught at slip in the 9th over, making thte score 44-3. This took Ahmed past 100 runs for the Parish and the next man in - Steve Alexander - also took his personal tally past 100 during his knock of 17, which is his best score of the season. Steve and Phil added 36 for the 4th wicket until Phil was bowled for 20 and the Parish were 80-4 with 12 overs left. Unfortunately, this was the start of a major collapse in which the last 7 wickets fell for just 10 runs. The loss of Alan Gilley to a run out was particularly crucial and it was left to Peter Smith to bring the score up to 90 with a few lusty blows, but he was eventually caught and the Parish were defeated by 67 runs, with 5 overs remaining.
