Morden Parish could only find nine players for this match, including a debut for schoolboy Connor White. Morden were asked to bat first and Ben was the first man out with his 2 taking him past 300 runs for the season. Alan Gilley was making his 50th appearance and he was 2nd out quickly followed by Neil and Karl for ducks leaving the score at 22-4 from 12 overs. Phil joined opener Ahmed next and 30 runs were added in the next 15 overs before Ahmed was bowled for 20. This was his highest score for the team and took him past 100 runs for the season. Three overs later, Phil was caught for 17, the tail didn't wag and Morden registered only 60 which is the lowest score of the season.
The Epsom openers put on 50 in 8.1 overs before Ben took a wicket, caught and bowled, for his 20th wicket of the season and his 5th catch in 4 matches. It was his also his 100th game for the club. He is the 19th player to reach this distinction. Morden have only lost by 10 wickets four times, with the last time being against Epsom Methodists in 2002. So, the one bonus was that history did not repeat itself.
Epsom then challenged Morden to a twenty20 style 9 over match. Epsom batted first and scored 71-3. Everyone bowled an over, Ahmed took 2 wickets and Ben kept wicket capping his work with a stumping. Morden could only make 53-7 with Karl Bromley top scoring with 14.
