St Martin's Church - Our Activities

At St Martins we have a range of activities for members of the church, and also for those outside of it. Some things we do all together, others we may break into age appropriate, or special interest groups.

Below are details of just some of the things we get upto.

Homegroups

Gathering together for mutual support, and to study the Bible together is important to us and so we place a high priority on our homegroups. Every member of the church is encouraged to be a part of a homegroup, most of which meet fortnightly in people's homes. During Lent we run a special season of studies jointly with the Morden Park Baptist church.

Playgroup

One of our main services to the community is the Playgroup which we run Mondays through Wednesdays. This is Council registered and is for children aged 2 years 6 months and over. It runs from 9.30am til 12 noon at the church.

Coffee and Chat

A social group for the parents and carers of toddlers. This also happens at the church, this time on Fridays - 10am til 12 noon. No need to register, the group is organised by Jane, a member of our congregation.

Friendship Centre

This is a group for some of our more 'senior' members and friends, to get to know one another. It meets at the church every Tuesday at 2pm for tea, and some kind of activity, favourites in the past have been flower arranging or making things for our annual church craft sale.

Lunch Club

Again, an opportunity for some of our older members to meet, this time to share a meal together on alternate Thursdays. Many guests who are not members of our church enjoy the fellowship of this group.
